DEFINITIONS
HIRER: This is only the person who is allowed under the
Contract to drive the vehicle. No other parties can drive the
vehicle(s) unless specifically referred to on the Contract are
allowed to drive the vehicle.
CUSTOMER: The person paying for the hire.
ASPIRATIONS: Aspirations Classic Cars Pty Ltd.
PERSONS ENTITLED TO DRIVE: a person permitted
by Aspirations to drive the insured vehicle must have a
valid Australian drivers license (overseas licensees
please enquire) and be over 25 years of age.
Aspirations will take a copy of agreed Hirer’s drivers
licenses and may require secondary proof of address of
the Hirer prior to the vehicle being released for hire.
Aspirations reserves the right to refuse hire of any
vehicles at its discretion.
PERSONS NOT INSURED TO DRIVE:
any person excluded under Aspirations insurance policy cover
including but not limited to:
- Persons under 25 years of age.
- Persons with less than 2 years driving experience
whilst holding an accepted driving license.
- Persons who have had any driving or motor cycle license endorsed, cancelled or suspended in the last 5 years.
- Persons who have had more than 4 speeding fines in the last 5 years.
- Persons involved in more than 3 motor vehicle accidents in the last 3 years.
INSURANCE POLICY COVER: The vehicle insurance
cover included in the fees payable by the Hirer is fully
comprehensive. In line with this cover, the Hirer is
responsible for keeping the vehicle secure including the
use of any security devices provided.
For overnight hire, the vehicle should be kept in undercover secure parking.
The insurance policy does not cover any damage to the
vehicle resultant from the negligence of the Hirer. The
vehicle is offered for hire for social, domestic and
pleasure purposes and must not be used contrary to
the limitations of use described in the rental contract.
The Hirer must not drive the car under the influence of
any drug or intoxicating alcohol.
The Hirer is responsible for the safety of personal
property within the vehicle. Aspirations have no
responsibility for loss or damage of personal property
within the vehicle.
ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE, FIRE & THEFT: The Hirer
must cover an excess charge on any insurance claim. A
refundable deposit is required on the first day of hire to
cover this excess. This deposit is payable by credit card
only.
BREAKDOWN COVER: Aspirations cars are supported
by breakdown cover through the NRMA. The Hirer will
be provided with breakdown cover details on the first
day of hire of the vehicle.
NO SMOKING & NO PETS: No pets may be
transported in Aspirations vehicles. Smoking is also
prohibited. In line with the rental contract additional
cleaning charges will apply for non-compliance.
FUEL: Aspirations vehicles are supplied with a full tank
of fuel when supplied to the Hirer. The Hirer is
responsible for returning the car with a full tank of fuel
when returning the vehicle from the hire period. The
Hirer is responsible for ensuring that the correct type of
fuel is used for the vehicle, including the use of any fuel
additive where required.
ACCESSORIES PROVIDED: The vehicles may be
provided with accessories and equipment such as
maps, brochures, spare parts, tools or other equipment
which comes supplied with the vehicle. These remain
the property of the owner and are required to be
returned at the date of return of the vehicle.
ALTERNATIVE CARS: In the event of the Hirer’s
chosen car being unavailable, Aspirations will offer an
alternative car or alternative dates.
In the event of adverse weather which, in Aspirations
view, could cause damage to the Hirer’s chosen car,
Aspirations will also offer an alternative car for hire or
alternative dates.
BOOKINGS: Bookings can only be made by credit
card. A minimum 25% payment of the total hire period
is payable at the time of booking. Bookings will be
confirmed on clearance of payment.
The balance of hire fees are payable 14 days prior to
the date of hire.
CANCELLATION CHARGES: 14 or more days prior to
hire date: deposit may be refunded minus an
administration fee at Aspirations discretion.
Less than 14 days: there will be no refund on car hire
fees.
GIFT VOUCHERS: Gift vouchers are valid for a period
of 6 months from the date of purchase. Vouchers may
be transferred to an alternative driver or vehicle. No
refund is available on unused vouchers however.
CUSTOMER VEHICLES: Aspirations may be able to store
customer’s everyday cars during the rental period. Cars are left at the hirer’s risk. Please just ask for details.
Drop off or pick up can be arrangd depending on location and how busy we are on the day. This may incur an additional charge, depending upon
location.
HOURS OF HIRE: Daily hire is the minimum period of
hire. Day hire is for 24 hours, normally 4pm one day to 4pm the next or 9.30am one day to 9.30am the next. We try to be flexible to meet your needs though, so please ask. Weekend packages have a
4pm Friday pickup and 10am return on Monday morning.
CHARGES: The Hirer is responsible for all charges in
using the hire vehicle. These include:
- fees payable for the rental period fines and other costs payable for parking or other
traffic infringements whilst the vehicle is under
their hire.
- refuelling of the vehicle where the vehicle is not
returned with a full tank of fuel
- In the event that the vehicle is left at other than
the pick up or delivery point, vehicle recovery
charges may apply and be billed to the hirer
including the cost of the return by freight if
necessary.
- In the event to damage to the vehicle through
accident, theft or negligence, Aspirations estimate
of costs to recover the vehicle, return the vehicle
to its pre-hire condition and any reasonable
amount to compensate for loss of use of the
vehicle. This amount will be adjusted by
Aspirations when final cost of repair and/or
recovery is known
ACCEPTANCE: The Customer agrees to these terms
and conditions on making a booking. The Hirer will be
required to sign Aspirations rental agreement (which is
inclusive of these terms) prior to hiring the vehicle.
